Chris Donovan (FMAAT)
Chris has over thirty five years’ experience in the accountancy profession, qualifying as a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 1983. He specialises in the more complex tax cases. Chris is a keen football supporter and has four lovely children who share his enthusiasm.
David Atyeo (FMAAT)
David qualified as a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in January 1995. Like Chris, setting up Donovan Atyeo from scratch has given him a broad understanding of running a business, enabling him to relate well to the needs of their clients. David supports a rival football team to Chris, which makes for some interesting banter back and forth. Mia, the office dog, owns David and helps keep him fit and healthy!
Matthew Lathey (MAAT)
Matt became a full time employee of Donovan Atyeo in July 2002, qualifying as a full Member of the AAT in 2006. He now has 15 years of accounting experience, after progressing through the ranks, working mainly on accounts and clients’ VAT, CIS and Payroll. He is the main point of contact for Auto Enrolment Pensions advice and support. In an effort to be more physically active, he took up cycling a few years ago and has cycled from London to Paris. Matt has raised in excess of £4,000 for charity on various cycle challenges. In the past 12 months, he has also become a regular at Zumba classes and hopes to spend some of his free time learning Japanese before leading a small group to Japan in August 2018. He is a keen sports and music fan and has attended numerous music concerts.
Vikki has nearly thirty years’ experience in accountancy, some of which she spent working alongside Chris and David prior to the start of Donovan Atyeo. When she was invited to become part of the team in 2010, it was just too good an opportunity to miss. Vikki works part time, mainly on accounts and clients’ VAT. She juggles work, two very active school age daughters and helping her husband in their motor repair company, so she doesn’t get much spare time, but what little time she has to herself will definitely involve a glass of wine.
Nicky is our most recent addition, beginning her employment in November 2015. She works two days a week and her bookkeeping background has helped to establish her as a valued member of the team, progressing her experience to include accounts, VAT and Payroll. Nicky has a second part time job, is a partner with her husband in their tiling business and has two daughters in secondary school. Nicky is “Mum” to us all and keeps her cupboard topped up with banana toffees, crisps and other goodies.
Susie worked for Chris and David in 1999 when the partnership was formed, until the business became too busy and needed full time secretarial support. In 2006 she left her job to join Donovan Atyeo and in 2009 became the Office Manager, which in a small business like Donovan Atyeo means doing a bit of everything. Susie works four days a week and on the fifth day she has a complete change of scenery (and clothes) working at TheHorseCourse, a charity based in Weymouth. In 2018 she is going to be a Grandma!
Clare has a wide base of administrative experience, previously working for Dorset County Council as a Public Relations Officer. In November 2010 she joined Donovan Atyeo on a part time basis, sharing the administrative duties with Susie. Clare has three children at primary school, so she is kept very busy. A true Welshwoman, Clare loves to sing and is a member of the local Rock Choir.
